Nokia 8 V 5G UW Verizon Wireless
HMD Global introduced the Nokia 8.3 5G, the company’s first mid-range 5G smartphone back in March and began global roll out in September. Today it has announced Nokia 8 V 5G UW phone which come with mmWave 5G support on Verizon in the US. the Nokia 8 V 5G HMD’s first high-end device that’ll be available through a US carrier.
The Nokia 8.3 5G finally launched in the US in September as an unlocked device for the same $699 price, although there’s a key difference between it and the Verizon model: the Nokia 8.3 5G only supports sub-6GHz 5G, while the Nokia 8 V 5G UW supports both sub-6GHz and mmWave 5G networks.
You get a 6.81-inch IPS LCD of FHD+ 20:9 aspect ratio LCD screen with a punch-hole cutout in the top left corner. The camera setup includes a 64MP primary shooter alongside a 12MP ultrawide snapper and two 2MP sensors for macro shots and depth data.
The Snapdragon 765G 7nm EUV Mobile Platform chipset is paired with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage, no 8GB/128GB option like on the regular 8.3 sold in other markets. The battery comes in at 4,500 mAh and supports 18W charging.
The Nokia 8.3 V 5G will retail for $699 once sales begin November 12 across Verizon as well as Best Buy. There’s a single Meteor Gray color option for now.
