Google Pixel XL 2 (2017) and Samsung Galaxy Note 8 set for release in October of this year, following the schedule for the original Pixel handset, which hit the stores on October 20, 2016. It is expected that the Google Pixel XL 2 will include a larger 5.6-inch bazel less Quad HD display, with a unique resolution of 2,560 x 1,312 pixels and would runs on latest Android O Operating System.

There were earlier rumors that the Google Pixel 2 Specs gsmarena will sport the slightly improved Snapdragon 836 chipset, the same ones rumored to be on the Galaxy Note 8.  The report notes the Snapdragon 836 chipset would be a slightly improved version of the Snapdragon 835 SoC, which is the latest and the greatest mobile chipset Qualcomm is currently offering.

Snapdragon 836 processor will feature an octa-core 2.5GHz processor, up from SD835’s clocked 2.45 GHz. There will also be a 740MHz GPU. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 would be the first device to pack in this upcoming SoC, followed by the LG V30 and the second-gen Google Pixel 2017 smartphones.
